Ticket T&Cs

You must be over 16 to attend any of our performances unaccompanied. If you’re 15 or under you must be accompanied by someone over 18. This is for safety and safeguarding reasons.

Refund policy

We do not offer refunds unless the date of an event is changed or the event is cancelled. This is a standard industry-wide theatre practice.

In some circumstances we may be able to sell on your ticket for you or arrange a credit. Please email us at boxoffice@theblaketheatre.org as early as possible in advance of the show if required.

FAQ’s

  • How can I book my tickets?

Tickets can be booked online any time of day or night at theblaketheatre.org or by telephoning our Box Office on 01600 719401. If you need to book tickets in person please visit our Box Office during our opening hours (12-2pm Monday to Friday).

We strongly advise customers to book tickets in advance as this prevents the need to queue on show nights.

  • How do I order drinks?

Please order your interval drinks at the bar before the show using contactless payment or cash. Ordering before the show begins means your drinks will be ready sooner, there will be less queueing and more time for you to enjoy your refreshments. Please enjoy your refreshments outside or in the auditorium, we need to ensure the foyer does not become crowded.

Please do not leave any drinks or litter in our auditorium.

Only food and drink bought in our theatre can be consumed here.

  • What time should we arrive?

Please arrive in plenty of time before a show. Our auditorium will be open at least 45 minutes before the show begins and we ask you to take your seats as soon as possible to ensure our foyer does not become crowded. Allow plenty of time for parking; there is a Pay and Display car park opposite and a limited amount of on-street parking locally.

What should I bring?

Please bring your tickets, ideally printed out or clearly visible on your phone (you will need to download the ticket – all tickets have a bar code on them). Please avoid bringing large bags. We do not offer a cloakroom service. Our auditorium has an air filtration system, this is not air conditioning, we generally advise wearing layers, busy shows can get rather warm!

Blake Theatre Respect Policy

Welcome to Our Theatre!

We’re thrilled to have you join us for an unforgettable experience in the heart of Monmouth. To ensure that everyone enjoys the show to the fullest, we’ve established some friendly but firm guidelines for behaviour during performances.

Our Expectations

Respect for All

We ask that all customers show respect for fellow audience members, performers, and staff. This includes being considerate of others’ enjoyment of the show.

Silence your devices

Please switch off or silence mobile phones and other electronic devices before the performance begins. The magic of live theatre can be easily disrupted, and we want everyone to immerse themselves fully in the experience.

Seating

For the comfort and safety of all our customers please remain seated during the performance. Customers must not dance on stairs or in aisles as this presents a serious safety risk for trips and falls as well as potentially blocking emergency exits. We may also have customers with disabilities (some of which may be hidden disabilities) and we must all be mindful to ensure performances can be enjoyed by everyone. Customers will be asked to move out of aisles and may be asked to leave if unable to do so.

Late arrivals

We understand that life happens! However, to maintain the flow of the performance, we may not be able to admit latecomers until a suitable break in the show. Latecomers may have to wait for admittance which will be at the back of the theatre (and not your booked seats) for health and safety reasons. We recommend arriving early to avoid any inconvenience.

Enjoy Responsibly

We encourage you to enjoy refreshments from our bar, but please consume alcohol responsibly. Disorderly conduct, including excessive noise or disruption, will not be tolerated. In line with licensing regulations we will not sell alcohol to anyone we believe to be drunk or anyone we believe to be purchasing alcohol for someone who is drunk.

Please order your interval drinks in advance.

The bar will be closed during the show and only open before the show and during the interval.

Family-Friendly Environment

We strive to create a welcoming atmosphere for customers of all ages. Please be mindful of your volume and behaviour, especially if attending with children or families.

Emergency Procedures

In case of an emergency, please pay attention to any announcements and follow the instructions of our staff.

Leave a Positive Impact

As you exit, we ask that you leave the venue as you found it. Dispose of any litter in our recycling bins and alert our staff to spillages and breakages. Please leave our premises quietly to avoid disrupting our neighbours. Together, we can ensure our theatre remains a wonderful space for everyone to enjoy.

Consequences of Unacceptable Behaviour

While we hope to avoid any issues, we want to be clear that any behaviour deemed disruptive or disrespectful may result in removal from the venue without a refund. Our aim is to protect the enjoyment and comfort of all our guests.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We’re excited to share this experience with you and hope you enjoy the show!

Warm regards,

The Blake Theatre Team
